Our friend, Mr. Random Word Generator, has spoken, and this week we'll be looking at "Squeeze Attitude". Now, you might be thinking that this certainly should be easier than last week's Civilization Sodium, but I'm actually struggling to come up with good ideas for this one. And I precisely know why.
My hang up is that I can't get away from a certain concept, and I don't know what to do with that concept. I'm sure you're probably thinking the same thing, too. The word "squeeze" is a physical action movement, and the word "attitude" also has an action-like connotation about it. So yeah, I keep thinking about Squeeze Attitude as a fitness-like brand.
I guess I struggle with this idea because I feel like my ideas are lazy cop outs. Why? Well, look at the logos of some of the top-branded fitness supplements in the world:
But that's too easy. And boring. In thinking about ways how to spice it up, I recall a delectable treat from my youth known as the Squeezeit. Squeezeits were amazing. You'd grab it, rip off the plastic top, and squeeze its wonderful goodness into your mouth. While they were sadly discontinued in 2001, they were a staple of any 90s kid's childhood. And judging by the picture below, I was the epitome of a 90s kid.

Bowl cut? Check, check, and more check.
Anyway, I envision Squeeze Attitude (or, "Squeez Attitude") is the rebirth of the good ol' drink in the form of fruity protein shakes. The old bottle form factor is back, so when you're done hitting the weights, you can squeeze one of these bad boys into your mouth for a nice freshing blast of flavor.
Oh, I guess I should share what Squeezits used to look like back in the day.
Whereas typical protein brands are all action and no "fun", I wanted to retain some of the essence of the former Squeezits. You'll recognize the bottle shape and packaging is retained, and I tried to emulate a brighter color. That color is actually the hex code for a fruit punch color in front of a black-and-white camo color.
I know it didn't turn out super well, but I tried making the word "Squeez" look as if it was being squeezed. And it did look good... until I tried placing it on the perspective packaging. Trust me, I spent an hour trying to figure out how to make it look better in Illustrator, but I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. Gotta draw the line somewhere.
Oh, and if you look very closely, you'll see that the flavor of this particular set of Squeez Attitudes is Strawberry Banana. Hence the banana-like color of the bottles.
I'll be honest: I'm not thrilled with this design. Then again, I wasn't thrilled with anything about this week's generated set of words. But I'm not a quitter, and I promise you I did give it a fair shot. I spent like five hours on this design. At some point, I gotta know when to call it quits. I hope the next set of words is better. Be on the lookout for whatever that is next week!
